Ozarks Food Harvest

Ozarks Food Harvest has a mission of Transforming Hunger into Hope. This simple statement serves as a meaningful summary of Ozarks Food Harvest’s goal to supply as much food as possible to individuals in need. The Food Bank rescues, warehouses and distributes food and supplies to 200 nonprofit hunger-relief organizations across one-third of the state of Missouri, reaching 30,000 children, families, and seniors weekly. It is Ozarks Food Harvest’s goal to supply as much food as possible to individuals in need. Ozarks Food Harvest is located in north Springfield, Missouri and its service area encompasses nearly 20,000 square miles, serving the following 28 counties: Barry, Barton, Cedar, Christian, Dade, Dallas, Dent, Douglas, Greene, Hickory, Howell, Jasper, Laclede, Lawrence, McDonald, Newton, Oregon, Ozark, Polk, Pulaski, St. Clair, Shannon, Stone, Taney, Texas, Vernon, Webster and Wright.

Since 2006, the Musgrave Foundation has provided nearly $400,000 to support Ozarks Food Harvest’s hunger-relief efforts in southwest Missouri. This includes Foundation funding to Ozarks Food Harvest’s member agencies to provide food for struggling children, families and seniors in the community. Through the support of the Musgrave Foundation, Ozarks Food Harvest is able to provide 14 million meals to 260,000 people annually. The Musgrave Foundation works hard to support the community’s future by caring for the health and well-being of children. Over the past three years, the Foundation has generously supported Ozarks Food Harvest’s Weekend Backpack Program, providing more than 5,800 bags filled with nearly 35,000 nutritious meals. Thanks to its financial donations, the Foundation has prevented thousands of children in our community from going to bed hungry.
